General Motors has some bad news for some of its' workers in Indiana. Coming up in 2017, GM will be stopping production on semiconductors at the plant in Kokomo, Indiana. Around 100 hourly employees and 60 salaried workers will be affected by this change.

The change comes from the fact that current production volumes of the semiconductors are no longer profitable. Although they are going to stop producing the semiconductors, they still plan to make integrated circuits, airbag control modules, engine control modules and other parts for GM and other automakers.
