Gov. Whitmer Hopeful Michigan Won’t Move Back a Phase
I think one of the biggest questions or concerns we have is whether or not the state of Michigan will get moved back a phase while in the COVID-19 reopening plan?
Will Gov, Whitmer move us back a phase? She seems pretty hopeful that it won't come to that. Of course, that means you need to do your part to avoid something like that.
Gov. Gretchen Whitmer:
We’re trying to avoid moving back a phase. That’s, you know, something that I’m hopeful we can prevent from happening. But it’s all going to be dictated by what people do, and we will see in the numbers in the next week, the next two weeks, the next three weeks.
According to WDIV, Whitmer was asked at a news conference on Wednesday if she had any plans to loosen restrictions prior to the school year.
Gov. Whitmer:
I think it’s really important that we stay focused on the fact that this virus still doesn’t show up in numbers until a couple of weeks later. The dangerous, insidious thing about COIVD-19 is that you can be carrying it and not even know it.
At this point, I think it's safe to say anything can happen. But we could all do our part by wearing a freaking mask and continue to wash our hands. Does wearing a mask really help against COVID-19? Hell, I don't know but it's a risk I'm not willing to take.
