Gov. Whitmer Hopes to Start Relaxing Restrictions on May 1st
If all goes according to plan, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer hopes to start reopening parts of the state on May 1st. She made the announcement earlier today (Friday) at a tele-town hall with the Detroit Regional Chamber. Personally, this a huge relief and yet, a little scary at the same time.
According to ABC12, Whitmer did not specifically identify which businesses may be allowed to open but said relaxing stay-home restrictions will come in phases.
I don't think it's a big secret that Whitmer's stay at home order is a tough one. As a matter of fact, one of the toughest from around the country. I agree with some of it, but not all of it. Honestly, it doesn't matter what I think. The only thing that matters is defeating this horrific virus and then moving forward to try and get this state back on track.
