Grand Blanc Residents Celebrate New Ice Rink

This weekend Grand Blanc residents will celebrate the opening of a brand new ice rink in Physicians Park.

According to MLive, the new rink will open at 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, as part of the city’s annual Festival of Lights celebration.

The ice rink will be located in the same place as their summer splash pad.

This is really cool for families looking for something different to do in Grand Blanc. I should say, this finally gives families something to do in Grand Blanc. Let's be honest, there isn't a whole lot to do in Grand Blanc.

The only bad thing about the new skate rink is the fact that they don't rent skates. With this being a brand new addition to Physicians Park, maybe it's something they're looking at down the road.

A candle walk crowd will gather near the pavilion in Physicians Park at 5:30 p.m. to begin a candle walk up Grand Boulevard to The Grand Chalet Shoppes. The Official Tree Lighting is set to begin at 6 p.m. in The Grand Chalet Shoppes area.

 Physicians Park is located at 218 Reid Road in Grand Blanc.
