Grand Blanc’s Newest Restaurant Opens Its Doors—Was It Worth the Wait?
Grand Blanc residents have been waiting a long time for the city's newest restaurant to open. Well, the wait is over.
Over the weekend, Chicken Shack officially opened its doors after months of remodeling the former Yaya's building.
Nearly a year ago, we told you how YaYa's on Saginaw Street was closing and moving down the street into the former Troy Cleaners building. Then in February, we got word that Genesee County's first Chicken Shack would open in the old YaYa's location. After months of anticipation and remodeling, the wait is finally over, and Chicken Shack is now serving up its famous chicken and sides to Grand Blanc residents.

What Are People Saying About Chicken Shack?
After opening this past Saturday, customers took to Facebook to share their Chicken Shack experiences. Here’s what a few had to say:
I got the ribs and chicken, Shack potatoes and coleslaw today. It was amazing. I used to live in Macomb County and used Chicken Shack for so many parties. I missed it when I moved up here. So glad you opened up in this area.
Awesome job today. Food was ready on time and it was delicious. I grew up on Royal Oak Chicken Shack, it's great to finally have one here.
Great job today, we enjoyed our dinner there tonight! Very friendly staff, great service, and very quick! Hope you all had an amazing opening day!!
The Shack Potatoes seems to be the menu item everyone loves the most.
Chicken Shack Hours
Chicken Shack is open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and until 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
