While I do enjoy a scary haunted house or asylum, I find the older I get, the more stressful it becomes. To be honest, I'm more of a chill and walk through a spooky forest kind of guy, rather than be terrified and freaked out.

I just learned today about a haunted illuminated forest in Michigan that's less than an hour away from the Flint area (depending on where you live). It's called Glenlore Trails 'The Haunted Forrest' and it's more of a spooky family-friendly attraction than something that simply scares the crap out of you.

According to MLive, Glenlore Trails is a psychedelic experience of light and sound in the woods.

Scott Schoeneberger, owner of the company behind the illuminating experience:

This series was created during the pandemic to keep our event staff working while the industry shut down, and to provide something safe for our communities to do to break the monotony of shutdown. The response was incredible so we’ve continued to expand and develop the series. Our format keeps things changing as each season we dream up new content, and each year the stories change.

Where is Glenlore Trails located?

Glenlore Trails is located at 3860 Newton Road in Commerce Township at Multi Lakes.

When do they open and how much does it cost?

The Haunted Forest re-opens on Thursday, September 30. Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for seniors 65+ and $15 for kids 4-12. The trail will be open Thursdays - Sundays through October 30.

I've never been to Glenlore Trails but I'm definitely going to take a trip to Commerce Township this Halloween season to check it out.
