The Token Lounge, a concert venue in the Metro Detroit area, has one confirmed case of Hepatitis A. If you drank there fairly recently, you're advised to watch for symptoms.

Reports indicate that an employee of the venue located on Joy Road in Westland tested positive for the infection according to the Wayne County Department Of Health, Veterans and Community Wellness. Vaccinations will be offered to the other employees and anyone who consumed a beverage between the dates of November 20th and December 4th are warned to watch out for symptoms. Symptoms of Hepatitis A include:

  • abdominal pain,
  • diarrhea
  • nausea
  • vomiting
  • dark urine
  • clay-colored stool
  • jaundice (yellowing of the skin and eyes)
  • chills
  • fever

Symptoms of Hepatitis A don't always show up right away, and the disease is highly contagious even if symptoms are not present. This is not the first reported case in the area, actually, Michigan health officials warned recently about an outbreak.
