I-475 Could See Changes And Fewer Lanes In 2018
At the Genesee Township Hall last night, the Department of Transportation hosted an open house to get reactions from residents about changes to I-475. Some of the changes are simple, some are not.
The department plans to fix up the area between Carpenter and Clio Roads and remove a couple pedestrian bridges. The more extreme changes will be changing some portions of the highway from three lanes down to two and creating a diamond exchange at Saginaw Road.
The reconstruction plan would begin in 2018 and continue on into 2019.
