Fast forward to the present, the Lions have once again made it to the NFC Championship game, this time against the San Francisco 49ers.

The team finished the regular season with a 12-5 record, tying a franchise record for wins.

They defeated the Los Angeles Rams 24-23 in the wild card round.

Then they beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 31-23 in the divisional round.

It's crazy that It's been 32 years since the Detroit Lions last appeared in the NFC Championship game. And with only one more win the Lions will be making it to their first Super Bowl appearance in franchise history.
