We've got the full 50-city list for early 2026 listed below, so if you see your spring break destination on it, here are some steps you should take before you even bring your luggage into the room:

  • Look around the room for small, brown, flat, oval-shaped bugs that are around 3/16 of an inch long (about the size of an apple seed).
  • If you don't see bugs, look for inky stains on the linens.
  • Be sure to check the curtains, cushions, and sheets for signs of bed bugs.
  • Keep your luggage off the ground by using stands or racks.
  • Check your bags while you pack and before you leave for bed bugs.
  • Once you get home, place all dryer-safe fabrics in the dryer on the highest heat setting for 30 to 45 minutes.
