Here’s the Easy Traffic Plan for Flint’s New Chick-Fil-A Grand Opening
We first reported Chick-Fil-A Flint's grand opening day in early September. That date is quickly approaching.
So, traffic is expected to be crazy for a couple of weeks. No worries, there's a plan and the company is very good at keeping it moving.

If you've lived around the area most of your life, the temporary traffic plan shouldn't be too difficult.
If you're directionally challenged, like this writer, here is a map for you. It only looks like it might take a few minutes to navigate, but it won't.
Essentially, everyone will enter from Miller Road and Austins Parkway -- that's just off I-75. There's a couple of traffic signals at each expressway entrance/exit and Austins Parkway, too.
While they're not telling anyone they can't leave the restaurant and turn left on Austins Parkway to Miller Road -- it will be easier and faster to turn right.
Will Chick-Fil-A traffic always be this bad?
For those not familiar with the restaurant, they're the original creator of double drive-thru lanes. It's always packed with lines wrapping around the building, but that's by design. It might surprise you how quickly people move through.
Employees are waiting with tablets to take your order in the drive-thru line -- you're not waiting to get to a speaker and menu board.
Now then, let's get some nuggets, waffle fries and ranch for dipping.
