The Flint Township Police Department found Kyro wandering near the intersection of Miller and Lennon roads near Genesee Valley Center. They ran the chip, identified him and contacted his owner who said he had been missing for weeks. But to the surprise of local officials, the owner wanted absolutely nothing to do with Kyro.
As the officers played and had fun with the now-abandoned dog while there were on breaks and shift change, StreetHearts Animal Rescue was contacted and will take Kyro to find him a new home. A huge thank you to the kind and compassionate police officers from the streets near a busy intersection and kept him company until StreetHearts arrived.
