Michigan Home to Best Art Museum in America for Second Year in a Row

When you're the best you know it. Michigan residents when it comes to the arts we are loaded down with phenomenal museums across the state. So when we find one of our amazing museums landing on the top of a "best of" list we're really not surprised.

USA Today is famous for its 10Best Readers' Choice Awards where they rely on experts and readers to search out the best of the best in a variety of categories. When it comes to the "Best Art Museums in the Country" they had their work cut out for them, but they knew exactly what they were looking for.

What Detroit Museum Ranks the Best in America?

Consider a classic gem of Michigan the Detroit Institute of Arts was named the "Best Art Museum in the United States"  by USA Today in its 2024 10Best Readers' Choice selection.

Not only did the pride of Detroit, the DIA, secure the top spot, but they also beat out some pretty big names in the art world to do so. The museum beat out the Philbrook Museum of Art in Tulsa, the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, and the prestigious Art Institute of Chicago to earn the top award.

The DIA proudly shared the news on their social media and celebrated a back-to-back win.
