Music superstar Jelly Roll will soon return to Flint, Michigan for the opening of a new music studio inside the Genesee County Jail.

The Jelly Roll Music Studio aims to offer incarcerated individuals the opportunity to learn how to write, play, and record their music.

According to WNEM, Genesee County Sheriff Chris Swanson said inmates will own any music they record.

Jelly Roll will return to Flint, Michigan on Saturday, July 27th, 2024.

As you will see and hear in the video below, the plan is to make 'a hit song' in the new jailhouse music studio.

This is not the first time Jelly Roll has visited inmates at the Genesee County Jail.

Jelly Roll visited the Genesee County Jail on December 5th, 2023, after Genesee County Sheriff Chris Swanson invited him to Flint via social media. The pair had a fun back-and-forth through videos and locked the date in so Jelly Roll could be part of an I.G.N.I.T.E graduation ceremony for inmates.
