Kid Rock is set to open a new restaurant, The Detroit Cowboy, in May 2025.

While the name may suggest otherwise, this new steak and seafood spot is not opening in Michigan. The Detroit Cowboy will debut in Nashville as a getaway for Kid Rock fans from Michigan.

This is the second establishment in Nashville opened by the Detroit native. In 2018, he launched one of the city's largest honky-tonks, Kid Rock's Big Honky Tonk & Rock 'n' Roll Steakhouse, located on Broadway. The venue features five floors, four stages, and several bars.

According to the Detroit Free Press, the Detroit Cowboy is a partnership with Joe Muer Seafood.

When does The Detroit Cowboy open in Nashville?

Guests won't have to wait long, as The Detroit Cowboy will officially open doors on Monday, May 5, 2025.

I'm not sure if it's by design or coincidence, but May 5th is also Cinco de Mayo. Road trip, anyone?

Set the GPS for 500 11th Avenue North, Nashville, 37203.

The slogan at The Detroit Cowboy has garnered a lot of attention,

Go where you're celebrated, not tolerated

Some media outlets are reporting that the slogan references the issue of Kid Rock's Made In Detroit restaurant at Little Caesars Arena not having its license renewed in 2019 (see post below).

Not my circus, not my monkey, as they say.

My mission was to tell you about Kid Rock's new spot in Nashville, and I did just that.

If you'll be in Nashville over Father's Day weekend in June, hit me up, we can break bread together at The Detroit Cowboy.

Do you think they serve tequila there?
