Large Fire This Morning at Pierce Park Golf Course in Flint

Firefighters in Flint have been busy this morning.

A call came into to Genesee County 911 around 5:23 this morning about a fire at the Pierce Park golf course on Brookside Drive in Flint.

The fire appears to be in the abandoned clubhouse; at the moment, firefighters are letting it slowly burn out because the roof is collapsing.

Investigators are looking into what could've started the fire. Drivers on I-69 could see the flames for miles.

The golf course was designed by Arnold Trusdale and opened to the public in 1965. It features an 18 hole par-3 course and features 1,202 yards of golf.
