Little Ceasars Arena To Remodel, Replacing Red Seats With Black Seats
The brand new arena in downtown Detroit is already heading for a remodel. Little Ceasars Arena will start replacing the current red seats in the arena with black ones in December.
The announcement was made Monday. After meeting with the Pistons, other stakeholders, and evaluating the first year, the decision was made to change the seating. No reason was given for the change, but I am going to make a guess. Having been there a few times, it is really easy to see the empty seats since they are red.
The worst thing a televised event can have is empty seats. The red ones really stick out. Lately, the seats have been covered with black covers as a temporary fix. This process will not interrupt any of the events coming in the future. The changes will be made during none event days. With all the millions of dollars that went into the new arena, how did they miss this little detail?
