Little Girl Shot in Detroit Over Man Not Getting Cigarette
An 8-year-old little girl is recovering after being shot while on her way to school.
Kaya Philson was shot in the arm while driving with her mother to Washington Park's Academy in Redford Township. They were simply sitting at a red light when a bullet came screaming through the car and into Kaya.
According to WNEM, Damond Reeves, 21 was arraigned Saturday on four counts of assault with intent to murder, carrying a concealed weapon and other charges. This guy was at a gas station going around asking people for a cigarette. When people told him no, he just went into a rage and started shooting into the street. Unfortunately one of his bullets hit Kaya. She will recover but it will be a long road for sure.
At this point, we can only guess what sent this guy into his rage, more than likely mental illness or drugs and alcohol. All I know is that these senseless shootings are out of control.
