I do not see why this is a big deal.  Pennies are money too.

Clinic employees  in Utah were not to happy when a disgruntled patient attempted to pay a $25 bill with 2500 pennies.

The Long Island Press is reporting that Jason West was upset with his medical  bill so he went to the clinic to dispute it.  West then asked if the clinic accepted cash and dumped out 2500 pennies on the counter.

I can't believe this, but West was actually cited and may have to pay a fine of $140.  Apparently clinical workers were upset because there were pennies all over the place.

Give me a freakin' break.  Money is money!

Police Chief Keith Campbell said West's actions served "no legitimate purpose".

If pennies aren't acceptable to pay with, why do we have them?

I most certainly will be paying for gas in pennies if prices continue to rise.  Will the gas stations tell me no?

What do you think?  Was this guy out of line or right on the money?
