New Grand Blanc Business Celebrating Grand Opening Friday

Alright, this is the kind of thing I like seeing around here.

Merchants Beer, Wine and Spirits recently opened its doors in Grand Blanc, after taking over the old Rite Aid building. Honestly, it’s just good to see something new going in there instead of another empty building.

If the name sounds familiar, it should. They also have a location in Fenton.

They’re doing their grand opening celebration this Friday, May 8, and they’re turning it into more of an all-day thing instead of just cutting a ribbon and calling it good.

There will be tastings going on throughout the day, along with giveaways, and if you’re into bourbon, you'll be happy about this.

They’re also promoting a “bourbon hunt,” so it sounds like there could be some harder-to-find bottles in the mix for people who are into that.

Banana 101.5 will be out there live from 4 to 6, giving away Foo Fighters tickets. The official ribbon cutting is also happening at 4 p.m. if you want to catch that and be a part of it.

It’s just cool to see a new business opening up in Grand Blanc and actually creating some excitement while they’re at it.
