While the majority of us spent Mother’s Day having a nice lunch with that special lady who brought us into this crazy world, one Michigan woman decided to spend hers showing off he bigotry in Grandville.

According to reports, Christine Weike from Hopkins was standing along a busy intersection on Sunday holding a sign that read, “THANK YOUR MOM TODAY FOR NOT BEING GAY.” On the back, the sign spewed some ridiculous biblical nonsense that none of us Godless fiends of the sex, drugs and rock n' roll culture really give two squirts about.

However, while a journalist from WOOD-TV was on location discussing the woman’s gay-hating political statement for a local news segment, a woman by the name of Jessica Prince emerged from the sidelines and belted the dastardly protester across the face with a cherry Slushy.

Indeed, violence and tasty frozen beverages appear to be the latest retaliation tactic on the part of a supposed civil society to combat the sometimes brutal combination of ignorance and freedom of speech that appears in our neck of the woods everyday.

On the bright side, another protestor joined the party in Grandville with a sign that read, "THANK YOUR MOM YOUR NOT A BIGOT."

Reports indicate that no frozen beverages were thrown at him.
