I'm assuming since you live in Michigan you relatively like it here.

I personally love Michigan. Yeah, winters can be a bit brutal but if you find a way to keep yourself busy throughout the colder months, it's not so bad.

As a matter of fact, winters in Michigan can be fun. Any season can be fun, it's all what you make of it.

I've got some good news if you're a fan of all things Michigan, we made the top 20 on Wallethub's 2021's Most Fun States in America.

How They Determined What States Were Fun

Wallethub compared what states have the best night life, entertainment and recreational establishments such as parks, marinas, golf courses, restaurants, etc.

Here's their top 5:

  1. California
  2. Florida
  3. Nevada
  4. New York
  5. Illinois

*fist bumps Illinois*

That's not a bad list right there. I'm okay with our neighbor, Illinois, making the top five. As long as it wasn't Ohio, ya feel me? Before you get a little too excited that Ohio didn't make the top five, they still beat Michigan by coming in at number 13.

*sticks tongue out*

Where Michigan Ranked

Michigan came in at number 19 with a score of 36.77 out of 100.

We actually ranked number one for "Most Golf Courses and Country Clubs per Capita" and tied for first with "Most Marinas per Capita."

So I'd say we're doing alright!

*pats self on back*

Poor West Virginia ranked last. It's probably because they tried to copy our hand map and ended up flipping people the bird. Way to be original, West Virginia!

The Scenic Beauty Of Northeast Michigan

Big Seven Travel has named the River Road National Scenic Byway as Michigan's "Most Scenic Drive" for 2021. It is a gorgeous stretch of road filled with forests, trails, scenic overlooks and runs parallel to the historic Au Sable River
