Viral Video: Woman Throws Hot Coffee at McDonald’s Worker in Michigan
A video from a McDonald’s in Michigan recently went viral, but not for a positive reason. It captures a heated incident in which an angry customer throws hot coffee at an employee.
You can view the video below. As you can imagine, the clip has sparked widespread attention and concern online.
According to MLive, the incident happened at the McDonald's at 3700 Dixie Highway in Buena Vista Township.
After being called to the scene, the Buena Vista Police Department posted a video of the incident on social media, asking the public to help identify the woman who threw the coffee.
The suspect has been identified by authorities; however, no additional details are being released at this time.
Reports indicate that the woman became upset while trying to return two sandwiches from an online order, claiming she had been waiting at the restaurant for over an hour.
The hot coffee was given to the suspect as a kind gesture, while the manager attempted to explain to her the refund policy. Obviously, that plan backfired when the suspect threw the coffee.
The McDonald's manager suffered minor burns. While it is unclear what charges the woman accused of throwing coffee may face, they are unlikely to be minor.
It is unfortunate how often people treat fast food employees, and really, anyone working in customer service, with disrespect. Why has this kind of behavior become so common?
