Come on, seriously? Another streaming app is raising its prices, and honestly, it’s starting to get a little old.

The service behind some of the biggest shows on TV just announced that every single plan they offer is going to be more expensive, and people are not happy about it. Surprisingly, it’s not Netflix this time.

What Streaming Service is Raising Its Prices?

HBO Max is officially bumping up prices across the board. The new rates are already in effect for new subscribers, and current customers will see the increase kick in after November 20 when their plans renew.

Here’s what prices are going up to:

• Ad-supported: $10.99 per month (up $1)

• Standard: $18.49 per month (up $1.50)

• Premium: $22.99 per month (up $2)

Okay, sure, it’s only one or two dollars, but that adds up, especially while other streaming services keep bumping their prices. You think this is the last price hike we’ll see? Not a chance. This is a trend that’s going to keep rolling for years to come.

According to CNBC, Warner Bros. Discovery says the reason for the hike is that the platform is still “underpriced” (suuuure), considering how good the content is. And yeah, the shows are solid, but come on, that’s the same excuse every streaming service gives right before they charge us more. Between this and all the recent increases from Disney+, Apple TV, and Netflix, it’s honestly starting to feel like we’re paying for cable again.

At this rate, it’s getting tough to justify keeping them all.
