Michigan has no shortage of great golf courses to play.

According to a 2021 list from Golf Digest, Michigan has three golf courses in the Top 100 in America. Anyone that has golfed these courses knows why. However, if you haven't golfed at these three courses, you can now add them to your bucket list for the summer of 2022...if you can find a way to play them.

Coming in at number 14 on the list is Crystal Downs in Frankfort, Michigan. Located at 249 Crystal Downs Drive, this private country club is just off of Lake Michigan.

At number 21 on the list, we have another private country club with Oakland Hills Country Club. This course is located in Bloomfield Hills and was founded in 1916.

The third Michigan entry on the list is Arcadia Bluffs at number 83. Unlike the previous two entries, Arcadia Bluffs is open to the public. Test yourself at both courses offered in Arcadia. You can try the Bluffs Course or the South Course right on the shore of Lake Michigan.

I absolutely love trying out new courses in Michigan. Really I'll play any course anywhere. Arcadia Bluffs is definitely on the list for this summer. However, if anyone I know happens to be a member at Crystal Downs or Oakland Hills, I have no problems being your guest for the day. I'll do my best to behave and not embarrass you too much.

What is your favorite public course in Michigan? I want to add to my list for the summer.
