Really? This is Michigan’s Most Popular Snack Food?

There is an endless supply of snack/junk food in this country. Everywhere you go there's an aisle of treats calling your name and it's really hard to just walk away. There are chips, candy, cookies, crackers, and other sweets at our fingertips at all times.

While we can't necessarily tell you what snack is the absolute best. We can tell you what snack Michiganders are consuming the most.

Earlier this year, Zippia released a study that showed each state's favorite snack. They used Google Trends to determine which states were the most avid fans of each snack. They looked at 45 different snacks during this study and this is what they found out.

What is Michigan's Most Popular Snack Food?

Drum roll, please...Michigan's most popular/favorite snack is Sour Patch Kids.

I was a little disappointed when I saw the results because I'm not a fan of Sour Patch Kids at all. The smell, taste, and texture are not something that I enjoy, it's actually kind of gross to me. I couldn't believe this was the #1 snack food in Michigan.

Apparently, I'm the only one that doesn't care for Sour Patch Kids. I walked around asking everybody their thoughts on the topic and they all lit up with excitement. Everybody loves Sour Patch Kids. I couldn't find one person that would side with me on this.

I do my best to eat as healthily as possible. However, I do break down from time to time and when I do, I'm all about peanut butter cups. Yes, that is my go-to junk food.
