Minimum Wage In Michigan Goes Up On January 1st
Come the first of the year, Michigan employees making minimum wage will be getting a bump in pay. Starting on January 1st, the minimum wage in Michigan will take a jump from $8.50/hour to $8.90/hour.
This all stems from legislation in 2014. Just two years ago the minimum wage was $7.40 per hour. The end goal is to have minimum wage reach $9.25 per hour by 2018.
It may seem a bit insignificant but will ultimately give some workers an extra $832 per year. Regardless of how much you make, a raise is good no matter what.
