If you are traveling expressways, numbered highways, and major roads in Genesee County and Shiawassee County - you will be seeing more Michigan State Police.

According to WNEM, Michigan State Police are putting more patrol cars in these areas to enforce traffic safety, slow down speeding drivers, watch for seat belt use, and look for distracted drivers.

I can tell you right now four things to do to avoid being pulled, over and ticketed,

  1. Follow the rules of the road
  2. Don't speed
  3. Wear your seatbelt
  4. Don't text and drive

It's that easy! I know I am not the only one who sees drivers doing all of the above on a daily basis. I get so pissed off when I see a driver behind me with there head looking up and down, because you know they are texting.

Another pet peeve is people who tailgate on the expressway. Get off my ass! Trust me, I am no Sunday driver, I am going the speed limit, most likely five miles over. Do not tailgate me. I am known to pump my brakes on those clowns. It may not be the safest thing to do, but it tends to make them back off.

Can you believe last month I actually saw a driver reading a book on US-23? I swear to god - WTF? I am guessing you have seen your fair share of idiot drivers too, feel free to share your stories with me.

If I have not yet convinced you to drive safe, how about one more thing - a ticket will cost you money. I knew that would get your attention. Have a great weekend.
