'Friday the 13th: The Game' for NES was a... uh, "special" experience. Now, that questionably accurate video game adaptation of a slasher movie is getting a faithful slasher movie adaptation. Huh?

I loved 'Friday the 13th' for NES, but it was an awful adaptation of the movies. You spend a majority of the game fighting zombies and killer crows, trying to navigate Crystal Lake using the game's non-sensical left-is-right-but-sometimes-right-is-right map, and lighting fireplaces to keep Jason away? I defy you to show me one 'Friday the 13th' movie where any of that stuff happened. Spoiler Alert: You can't.

LJN took so many liberties with this game it was basically its own original game... and everyone knows that every original game that has even a modest fan base get its own movie eventually (we're looking at you 'Prince of Persia,' 'Bloodrayne,' 'Alone in the Dark,' 'Dead or Alive,' and especially you, 'Hitman'). So with that in mind, we give you the trailer for painfully faithful adaption of 'Friday the 13th: The Game' that no one has been waiting for -- 'Friday the 13th The Game: The Movie.'

Is this dumb? Absolutely, but it still looks more promising than that ticking box office bomb that is the new 'Warcraft' movie.
