A new possible bill introduced by Rep. Jon Hoadley of Kalamazoo could expand Michigan's current bottle deposit law.

If it goes through, the new law would expand bottle deposits to include all beverages (except for milk) packaged in metal, plastic or glass. The reason for this is to basically improve Michigan's recycling. According to WDIV, Gov. Rick Snyder recently talked about this in his State of the State address. He said, "We have to do more, it's for our own good, and it's for the well-being of our society and our world."

I'm for anything that promotes and pushes more people to recycle. I guess we'll  have to wait and see.
