It's looking like a hell of a year for Nothing More, and they're looking to make even more of a case for that. Today the band released a new video for "Go to War," a new single off their upcoming album The Stories We Tell Ourselves.

Video wise, the band conveys a pretty intense story, shifting between scenes of the band playing on the stage of a dimly lit bar and the chaos that's ensuing in front of them. There are a variety of different scuffles happening, with punches and words being thrown with equal intensity. Multiple couples argue across the room, embodying the metaphorical "war" that can go down in a toxic relationship, a metaphor singer Johnny Hawkins explores thoroughly.

The song itself is an absolute ripper, one we already consider one of the year's best. Guitars creep under Hawkins' vocals, coming to life in short bursts before fully being realized in the chorus. Of the track's meaning, Hawkins said, "Trust is the foundation of every relationship. As trust erodes, our need for control grows. ‘Go to War’ is about how we circle the problem, unknowingly spinning the web tighter. If you circle enough, it becomes a spiral. If you spiral enough, it becomes a war."

The band's upcoming The Stories We Tell Ourselves arrives Sept. 15 through Better Noise Records. The album comes with an extensive tour in the fall featuring support from As Lions, My Ticket Home and Hell or Highwater.

The video for "Go to War" premiered at the official Aftershock website. Nothing More will be one of the bands at the Sacramento, Calif., festival, which takes place Oct. 21-22, and also features Ozzy Osbourne, Nine Inch Nails, A Perfect Circle and more.
