There are a lot of plans for the future of Michigan Central Station including a one night only haunted house on the first floor this year.

The Ford Motor Company just purchased the old station for $90 million and it looks like they want to have a little fun with it this year. This is going to be a free event, mainly for residents in the Corktown neighborhood, who will take priority for attendance. The "Impact Area" as it is called is roughly bound by I-75 and 21st Street to the west, W. Lafayette to the south, M-10 to the east, and Grand River Ave and MLK Jr. Boulevard to the north.

So far, the actual date of the haunted house is yet to be determined. It will either be on the weekend before Halloween or Halloween night itself. It's awesome to see a little bit of life being pumped back into the historic building.
