Next year marks 20 years since the release of Papa Roach's major label debut, Infest, and the group has plans to celebrate the album's anniversary.

The album, which was certified triple-platinum in July of 2001, is the second album from Papa Roach and the one that broke them on a mainstream level off the back of the all-time hit single, "Last Resort."

Singer Jacoby Shaddix spoke with Z93 at the Sonic Temple festival over the weekend, revealing, "2020, we’re going to celebrate the 20-year anniversary of our album Infest. And so, April 25th, 2020, we will be having a celebration."

The frontman made no mention of a full-on tour to commemorate the record, but there will be at least one event as stated.

"Last Resort" deals with the theme of suicide and in the interview, Shaddix opened up more about the topic and the event that inspired the hit song. "Our first single, 'Last Resort,' was about… One of my best friends, he tried to kill himself. We lived in a house together. I’m 17 years old, and my best friend tried to kill himself. And it was a traumatic experience. I sing the song from a first-person point of view just to make it… this is how I write music. It’s just crazy how many people have used that song as a source of strength."

Continuing, Shaddix added, "This music is purpose-driven, and I know that there’s a reason why I’m here on this planet creating music and creating art with my brothers in Papa Roach."

Papa Roach's latest album, Who Do You Trust?, was released in January earlier this year.
