It may appear that one of Michigan's favorite pizza joints is experiencing some financial troubles. However, it may only appear that way as the brand is experiencing growth despite recently closing multiple locations.
Back in 2020, this company closed hundreds of underperforming stores as its franchise owner declared bankruptcy, according to The U.S. Sun.

What Major Pizza Chain is Closing Locations?
Pizza Hut abruptly closed seven locations in New York recently which immediately started freaking people out. Customers of Pizza Hut became worried that their local store could be next on the chopping block.

It's unclear if the company has any plans to close more restaurants that are underperforming.
The whole situation is very similar to what Burger King went through recently. They had a bunch of stores that were underperforming so they closed them. It's as simple as that.
At the end of the day, Pizza Hut is doing just fine and continues to open new stores throughout the country. As a matter of fact, Pizza Hut is planning to open a brand new store in Grand Blanc next week.
