How Many MI Burger King Locations Will Close By the End of 2023?
Back in March, Burger King announced the closure of 26 locations in Michigan including Flint and Metro Detroit. The closure of those locations forced 424 employees to be laid off.
Burger King is now taking things a bit further by announcing the closure of up to 400 locations nationwide by the end of 2023. With that many closures around the country, we can only assume that some will be right here in Michigan...again.
Why is Burger King Closing So Many Locations Around the Country?
According to the New York Post, Burger King will close underperforming locations as the fast food giant faces tough competition in the market place from the likes of McDonalds and Chipotle.
How Many Burger King Locations in Michigan Will Close?
The company hasn't announced which locations will close by the end of 2023. All we know at this time is that they are planning to close between 300-400 locations nationwide. They also haven't announced when the closures would take place.
If there are Burger King locations in Michigan that are underperforming, they will more than likely find themselves on the chopping block.

Don't worry Burger King isn't going away anytime soon as they still have roughly 7,000 restaurants across the US. Not to mention they're still adding more restaurants around the country.
According to Today, the company "historically" closes "a couple hundred" Burger King restaurants each year.
