Race Car Driver Hits Head on Into Concrete Barrier [VIDEO]

I'm not sure really what happened here but it looks like this guy didn't even try to turn the wheel. I mean this dude hit this barrier straight on and then flipped up in the air and into some water. It looks almost like he tried to crash.
