The thought of paddling kids in school is really a hot topic regardless of which side of the fence you stand. Some parents feel it's abuse and something that is unimaginable in 2018. Other parents embrace the idea with the belief it's a better alternative to suspension.

According to WNEM,  paddling students on the butt with a piece of wood will now be a form of punishment at a Georgia charter school. If a parent doesn't agree with this form of punishment, their child will get up to five days suspension instead. So far, more than 100 of the forms have been sent back and a third of them give consent to use the paddle.

The punishment will be for students in kindergarten through 9th grade and won't be used often. It would take place in an office with no more than 3 blasts to the ass (those are my words).

I honestly don't know how I feel about this. Some say kids need more discipline these days and others feel spankings can really have a negative impact on a child. I got my ass whopped a few times when I was a kid and I turned out just fine...at least I think I did lol.
