
Swim, Play, And Picnic At Fenton’s Silver Lake Beach
It is officially summer in Michigan.
When you need to cool down, you have plenty of options - we are not called the Great Lakes State for nothing.
You don't have to travel to the Great Lakes to hit the water; there are plenty of options right here in Genesee County.
One of the best beaches in the area is Silver Lake Beach in Fenton. Since 1974, families have enjoyed coming to Fenton's largest park. Guests can enjoy the following amenities,
- Beach (with lifeguards)
- Bath House
- Volleyball Courts
- Ball Fields
- Horseshoe Pits
- Two Pavilions (with electricity)
- Badminton Courts
- Nature Trails
- Picnic Area (with grills)
- Concession Stands

Season passes and daily passes for Silver Lake Park during beach season are both available. Prices are as follows,
Season Passes
- Resident: $30
- Non-resident: $40
Day Pass
- Vehicle: $7
- Walker: $1
- Bus: $30
- Motor home/vans: $10 plus $0.50 per passenger over 10 passengers
Silver Lake Park is located at 16000 Jennings Road in Fenton. The park is open seven days a week, 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
This was the beach spot when I was a kid. I’ll never forget the time my dad dozed off in the sun and ended up rolling right down the hill toward the water.
At the time, I was so embarrassed - but now, my sisters and I still crack up about it.
