"This is an extremely difficult time to navigate for bars and restaurants."

Soggy Bottom Bar in downtown Flint has temporarily closed to deep-clean, sanitize and disinfect the premises per the Centers for Disease Control guidelines.

According to their Facebook page, one of their kitchen employees was exposed to somebody who had tested positive for COVID-19.

Tonight we are closing to clean, sanitize, and disinfect per CDC guidelines.

It is our understanding that one of our kitchen employees was exposed to someone who tested positive for COVID-19 at their other job.

We hope to open tomorrow, but that will rely on getting more information from the Health Department.

Thank you for your understanding. This is an extremely difficult time to navigate for bars and restaurants. And we want to be as responsible and transparent as we can be.

They're the second Genesee County business to shut down because of an employee or employee exposure to COVID-19.

It was announced yesterday that Little Joe's Tavern in Grand Blanc has closed temporarily after an employee tested positive. The employee last worked on Friday, July 3rd, and the Genesee County Health Department has been notified.

The CDC has released a list of considerations for restaurants that are reopening at this time; you can check it out by clicking HERE.

Please be diligent if you choose to go out to eat right now. We are NOT out of the woods yet; you can continue to support local restaurants by ordering delivery or carry-out as well.
