‘Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive’ Saturday – Leave Donations By Your Mailbox For Postal Workers To Pick Up
If you live in Genessee County, you most likely received a plastic bag in your mailbox from your letter carrier. These bags are for food donations. Tomorrow - Saturday, May 11th, is the annual 'Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive'.
If for some reason you did not get a bag, please use your own and fill it with any amount of non-perishable items you can. Place the bag near your mailbox for your letter carrier to pick up. Items most needed include peanut butter, canned tuna, macaroni and cheese, whole grain and low sugar cereals.
All food donations collected will be given to local food banks, local churches and local food pantries. Your donation(s) can make a difference. See below for more information on what to donate, and what NOT to donate.
