Pranks are certainly a part of high school.  Hell, pranks are a way of life.

Sometimes however, pranks don't work out as planned.

This is a perfect example of a prank going bad.

Indiana high school senior Tyell Morton may be facing serious jail time for bringing a blow up doll to school.  According to WGRZ in Buffalo, NY, officials thought the box was a bomb.

The doll was not inflated and was found along with the box it came in, in the girls restroom.  A bomb squad was called in to investigate.

Now the 18 year old senior could be facing eight years behind bars.  WTF?

That seems way overboard!

Morton had this to say, quote:

"It was a senior prank. They're blowing it out of proportion. I didn't hurt anybody. I didn't intend to embarrass anybody. What did I do wrong? "

Prosecutor Phil Caviness had this to say, quote:

"In this post-Columbine world, that's what you get when these kinds of things happen."

Tyell will not be allowed to graduate and is not allowed on school property.

What do you think?

Is the punishment severe?
