On Record Store Day 2017 (April 22), Sublime will re-release their 1995 EP, Badfish on vinyl. They've also partnered with a brewer to create their own craft beer and have plans for a pair of movies.

Rolling Stone notes that the slew of activity is in honor of the 25th anniversary of their debut album, 40oz. to Freedom. The beer, which is named after that record, is being produced by San Diego's AleSmith Brewing Company and is described as a Mexican-style lager. Fittingly, it will first be available in limited-edition 40-ounce containers in select locations and will then be sold nationwide in 12-ounce cans.

"It doesn’t taste like anything else," drummer Bud Gaugh said. "The flavor is great and it has a craft beer flare with a true Mexican lager taste. This is the one!"

Troy Holmes, Nowell's widow, concurred. "Being a beer lover, I'm so proud to partner with an elite world-class brewery like AleSmith and I know Sublime fans will absolutely love it! Like Bradley sang [in "40oz. to Freedom"], 'That second beer was such a turn-on.'"

The article also reveals that the band are developing an authorized documentary about their history, which has the participation of Gaugh, Holmes and bassist Eric Wilson, and are currently in "advanced negotiations" with a studio to create a biopic of the band.

Badfish contained two songs found on 40oz. to Freedom, the title track and "Don't Push," two live recordings ("Untitled Dub" and a cover of Bad Religion's "We're Only Gonna Die") and "Roots of Creation."
