Suicide Squad has been something of a sore spot for fans; not just for movie audiences, but Arrow viewers in particular. The CW’s small-screen version of DC’s famed Task Force X was seemingly shelved by the movie’s announcement, but producer Greg Berlanti says we have it backwards: Arrow introduced Suicide Squad specifically to test the waters for a movie.

Arrow star Stephen Amell hasn’t been shy speaking his mind about DC movies keeping separate from the ever-expanding TV universe, something that once landed him in a Flash of hot water. It remains to be seen if the movies would ever feature their own Green Arrow with a new actor, but either way, consider Amell’s blessing officially given.

We’re weeks away from the bigger Arrow announcements at Comic-Con 2016, but that isn’t stopping this weekend’s Heroes & Villains FanFest from adding a few new details to Season 5's quiver. Not only does star Stephen Amell have a new take on The Flash’s time-turning twist, but so too will Season 5 bring Arrow back to its roots, at least until Supergirl arrives.

CBS’ Supergirl made clear from the start that it intended to tell Kara’s story - not her Super-cousin’s - though that didn’t stop the DC drama from awkwardly fumbling around his offscreen presence. Now, in addition to the big CW move, Supergirl will finally introduce a flesh-and-blood (or rather steel) Superman, casting for the iconic role now underway.

The Flash fans will have a chance to see their hero through Kevin Smith’s eyes by ante-penultimate Season 2 outing “The Runaway Dinosaur,” as well an early installment of Season 3, but would the Yoga Hosers director ever take on Arrow? Not behind the camera, perhaps, though Smith now wants to write an episode or two of The Flash’s DC TV progenitor, adapting a famous villain from his own comic run.

Seasons 3 and 4 of Arrow have conspicuously scuttled off any and all characters related to DC’s upcoming Suicide Squad, to the point several past figures have been referred to as “off the table.” Now, Season 4 might surprisingly return one of the series’ biggest antagonists, however briefly.

Some heroes may choose to team up in the light, but there’s nothing wrong with a bit of darkness now and again. The Legends of Tomorrow will learn that the hard way, teaming up with not one, but two future Arrow archers for “Star City 2046,” the full photo set of which also reveal the man under the mask of our new Deathstroke.

Arrow fans have noticed more steadily that any and all Suicide Squad characters shared with the upcoming film have been “taken off the table” through various means, seemingly for good. Manu Bennett’s Deathstroke still draws breath, but may now be “tied up in another DC project” and equally unable to return, according to producer Marc Guggenheim.

Here we were, counting down to the first real Legends of Tomorrow teases by the upcoming Arrow and Flash crossover, when The CW does two better. Not only do we know for sure when Legends will premiere in January 2016, but the latest DC heroes kick asses all over time and space with our first full trailer!

'Arrow' fans were in for a special treat at Friday's Comic-Con 2014 panel when the CW revealed the first full-length trailer for season 3 of the DC superhero series. We now have our official first look at all the action, mystery, and new characters that the upcoming season has to offer. Consider us pumped.
