Some people just can't mind their own business. I have known many people that have received assistance from the government. I'll admit, I don't think some of them were being honest and were abusing the system, however, many of them really did need the help. Regardless of your opinions, this guy is right. There are steps you can take other than trying to shame someone in public.

Food stamps are worth twice their normal store value at some Michigan farmer’s markets, according to a report in The Christian Science Monitor. It is a program called “Double Up Food Bucks,” which is an accepted practice in most of the state that gives SNAP money more spending weight when purchasing from local farmers.

According to recent statistics, Michigan now has more people receiving food stamps than it does students attending public school.

Two Flint businesses were raided a few days ago by the IRS and USDA. Shorthorn Meats has been involved in alleged food stamp fraud since 2005, totaling more than $5 million in fraud. Downtown Food Shop totals more than $1 million in fraudulent activity.
