It has been more than 30 years since Michigan got a new interstate, but talk of I-73 has people wondering if US-127 could soon be transformed.

It's the ninth-longest interstate in the country.

The highway began in the 1950s with every other Interstate project, but by the time it reached the south, major connecting highways had already been built between cities.
