Todd Mills is a name you may not be familiar with, but unless you've lived under a rock for the past few years, you are familiar with his idea.  He is the man responsible for the Doritos Locos taco shells available at Taco Bell restaurants across the country.  Mills, who first pitched the idea to Frito Lay in 2009 and was rejected, started a "Taco Shells from Doritos Movement" Facebook page.  His idea came to fruition in 2012.  He never received any kind of compensation from his idea which has made the company over one billion dollars so far!  A friend of Mills' told USA Today that "Todd being Todd, he never asked for anything. He said, 'I just want my tacos.'"

Yahoo news reports that Mills was diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer and died on Thanksgiving.  His funeral was held on December 2nd.  Taco Bell donated $1000 to help with funeral costs.
