The Michigan Renaissance Festival returns in August.

Mark your calendars for August 21st as the Michigan Renaissance Festival will return to full force for the 2021 season. The Ren Fest will be open to the public every Saturday and Sunday from August 21st through October 3rd. Fans will also be able to visit the festival on Labor Day (Monday, September 6th) and on Fesitval Friday (October 1st.)

What are the themed weekends for the 2021 Michigan Renaissance Festival?

Each weekend, fans of the Ren Fest can expect something a little different. The themed weekends are listed below.

  • Pirates & Pups Weekend
    • August 21st and 22nd, 2021
    • Bring your pups and dress like a pirate. This weekend will also feature puppy rescue groups, training demonstrations, and contests for dogs.
  • Highland Fling
    • August 28th and 29th, 2021
    • This weekend will feature highland games in this 8 series event.
  • Viking Invasion
    • September 4th, 5th, and 6th, 2021
    • Prepare for a three-day weekend filled with beards, mustaches, and competitions.
  • Wonders of the World
    • September 11th and 12th, 2021
    • Stop by on this themed weekend to find a world market and entertainment from around the globe.
  • Shamrocks & Shenanigans
    • September 18th and 19th, 2021
    • Celebrate Ireland with Irish vendors, music, and dance.
  • Harvest Huzzah
    • September 25th and 26th, 2021
    • Show off your ink in the tattoo contest.
  • Festival Friday
    • October 1st, 2021
    • The only Friday the festival is open to enjoy.
  • Sweet Endings
    • October 2nd and 3rd, 2021
    • Enjoy all the sweets you can handle and check out the annual fencing championships.

My daughter was so bummed that the festival was canceled last year so we are super excited to see it return for 2021.
