Popular Fast Food Chain in Michigan Named Unhealthiest in America
When it comes to fast food restaurants in Michigan, there really aren’t any that fall under the 'healthy' category. Sure, some may not be as bad for you as others, but you won’t find one that’s truly considered healthy.
Look, we get it. Fast food is sometimes your only option when you're on the go. It’s a quick and easy solution when you’ve got a couple of hungry, screaming kids in the backseat. But just because it’s convenient doesn’t mean it’s the best choice.
We used to say fast food was a quick, cheap, and easy solution, but the days of calling it cheap are long gone as prices are higher than ever. So, not only is it more expensive than ever, but it’s also unhealthier than ever.
With so many fast food chains in Michigan, how do you know which one to choose? Actually, let me rephrase that. How do you know which one is the absolute unhealthiest?
Cozy Meal found the answer for us after recently conducting a study and putting together a list of the 15 unhealthiest fast-food chains in 2025.
The company looked at the overall calories of menu items, along with the amount of sodium, fat, and all the other unhealthy ingredients in the food.
What is the Unhealthiest Fast Food Chain in Michigan?
Well, it looks like Burger King is still the king. Unfortunately, it's the king of unhealthy fast food chains in America.
While most of their burgers come in at around 700 calories, the Triple Whopper with bacon and cheese clocks in at 1,349 calories plus 94g of fat, 33g of which is saturated fat, and 1,990mg of sodium. Yes, 1,990mg of sodium... that is insane.
We can't single out just Burger King. While they may be considered the unhealthiest, there's a long list of other unhealthy chains right behind them that made the list, including Dairy Queen, Taco Bell, Chick-fil-A, Jack in the Box, KFC, Quiznos, Sonic, McDonald's, Dunkin' Donuts, Wendy's, Arby's, Five Guys, Whataburger, and Smashburger.
Like anything else, it's all about moderation. While it's not the healthiest choice, it's okay to have once in a while, as long as you don't overdo it.
