Wendy’s Named Least Healthy Fast Food Chain – Sorry, Michigan
Fast food can be tasty, but being healthy is a whole different story, especially when it comes to this chain found all over Michigan.
I don’t think it will come as a shock to find out that your favorite fast food spots aren’t exactly healthy. In fact, they’re often downright guilty of packing way more calories, salt, and fat into your meal than you realize.
The Top Fast Food Chains That Are Worst for Your Health
WorldAtlas recently released a list of the least healthy fast food chains in the U.S., and some of your favorite spots made the top 10.
While Wendy’s topped the list of least healthy fast food chains, which we will break down in a minute, several other big names were not far behind.

Sorry to break your heart, but chains like Sonic, Little Caesars, Dairy Queen, McDonald’s, KFC, Taco Bell, Smashburger, Quiznos, and Chick-fil-A also made the cut.
What Makes Wendy’s the Unhealthiest Fast Food Chain
Wendy’s didn’t accidentally land at the top of this list. Their Triple Baconator meal packs over 2,100 calories, 3,400 milligrams of sodium, and 54 grams of saturated fat, which is way over the daily limit.
You toss in a Frosty or soda, and you are asking for trouble. Sure, they've got salads, but most people go for the triple bacon monster, not a side salad. Wendy’s knows how to pile on the fat, salt, and sugar like no other.
Most people know it’s bad for them, but for some strange reason, they keep coming back anyway. Like, I get it, it tastes great, but man, it’s rough on your body.
