Upper Peninsula ‘Kingpin’ Gets 13 Years in Prison For Weed
A man in the Upper Peninsula was recently sentenced to 13 years in federal prison for a major marijuana operation he was running.
Spencer Ward, also know as the "Kingpin" and his crew sold weed worth $475,000. Now that's a lot of smoke! His operation obviously wasn't even close to complying with the state medical marijuana law. According to WNEM, More than 40 people assisted him at his farm in Bruce Crossing or at stores. Ward's operation in Ontonagon, Marquette and Iron counties was described as very sophisticated.
The law is the law and this guy will now pay the price for not following those laws. Ward had an 80-acre farm which he also lost.
